The Role

The Sewer Installation Apprentice assists in the installation, repair, and replacement of residential and light commercial sewer lines. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating tools and equipment, and learning a skilled trade. Apprentices work alongside experienced sewer technicians to gain hands-on experience in excavation, pipe installation, grading, safety procedures, and customer service.

What Will I Do?

  • Assist with sewer line excavations, repairs, and replacements.
  • Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
  • Dig trenches using hand tools and assist with excavation equipment as directed.
  • Help install, assemble, and connect sewer piping systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with site preparation, restoration, and cleanup.
  • Learn proper grading, pipe bedding, and backfilling techniques.
  • Support camera inspections, sewer testing, and locating activities when needed.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to advance technical skills.
  • Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. (We can help you with this!)

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive company vehicle required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
  • Experience in plumbing, construction, and/or excavation is a plus
