What is a plumbing assistant?

Plumbing Assistants are entry-level professionals who support licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems. Their responsibilities include carrying tools, preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with basic plumbing tasks under supervision. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and is often a stepping stone toward becoming a licensed plumber. Plumbing Assistants must be able to follow instructions closely, work safely, and have good problem-solving skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a plumbing assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Plumbing Assistant, you need basic knowledge of plumbing systems, physical stamina, manual dexterity, and often a high school diploma or equivalent.
