Job description

This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

JOB SUMMARY:

Support the team in the installation of commercial construction work as listed but not limited to:

Underground plumbing, above ground plumbing, fixture setting and plumbing trim work in commercial buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform appropriate communication with co-workers and customers

  • Assist plumbers with installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems including pipes and fixtures.

  • Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing work site, ensuring all nedessary and tools and materials are readily available

  • Handle tools and materials by obtaining tools, hold pipes in place and assist in cutting and fitting pipes as directed

  • Perform basic repairs and installation under direct supervision

  • Dispose of waste by properly disposing of debris and waste materials

  • Learn and apply skills by engaging in on-the-job training to learn plumbing techniques and safety protocols

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.

  • 1yr commercial plumbing experience preferred.

  • Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings.

  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred.

  • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed.

  • Criminal background check required for hire

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employees are regularly required to talk or hear

  • Employees are required to sit, squat, crawl, lay down and stand for long periods of time

  • Employees are required at times to walk uneven terrain

  • Employees are required to use their hands to manipulate small parts and tools.

  • Employees must be able to push, pull and handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Position requires the ability to lift and carry tools, material, and equipment up to 50 pounds

  • Position requires physical stamina and the ability to climb stairs and in/out of a scissor lift and navigate ditches

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
