Job Description

Location: This is a hybrid role based in Seattle, WA

About the job you're considering

Capgemini is hiring a Program Director to lead the mobilization and delivery of a multi-year, enterprise scale PLM modernization program for a major Aerospace & Defense OEM - replacing aging PDM and process-planning systems with a modern Siemens Teamcenter backbone, rolled out phased and site-by-site across fabrication and in-service programs.
You own the relationship at executive level, the integrity of the plan and basis of estimate, the tri-partite governance across client, Capgemini and the technology partner, and a blended onshore-offshore delivery organization that mirrors the client. This is a role for someone who has personally carried a large, complex PLM program from mobilization through delivery.

Your Role

  • Own end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-workstream PLM program - scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk against a defined envelope.
  • Run a blended onshore-offshore delivery model that mirrors the client organization - distributing scope across an onshore core and offshore delivery center with clear governance, hand-offs and quality gates.
  • Stand up and run program governance and PMO - decision cadence, RACI, dependency and milestone management.
  • Steer a phased, site-by-site deployment with zero disruption to active production and engineering programs.
  • Act as the single accountable interface to client executive sponsors and the program owner.
  • Operate a tri-partite model across client, Capgemini and the PLM technology partner - aligning roles, boundaries and joint value.
  • Run advisory and pre-sales in parallel with delivery - shape opportunities, lead solutioning and proposals, and grow the account.
  • Report progress, assumptions and risk at leadership level
  • Embed AI-Powered PLM in the program - AI-accelerated delivery (software factory / SDLC) and a roadmap to an augmented and agentic-ready platform and own the AI productivity / savings case.
  • Track spend against the approved budget and govern change.
  • Maintain the program risk register and drive mitigation on the critical assumptions.

Your Skills and Experience

  • 15+ years leading large engineering / IT transformation programs, with direct ownership of enterprise PLM delivery.
  • Mandatory: proven track record running advisory /pre-sales in parallel with delivery - shaping opportunities, solutioning, proposals and account growth.
  • Proven leadership of large onshore-offshore delivery models, coordinating distributed onshore + offshore teams - ideally mirroring a client's own organization.
  • Demonstrated delivery of a complex, multi-site PLM program - budget, schedule and migration accountability.
  • Track record embedding AI / automation into delivery and shaping an AI benefits (productivity / savings) case.
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense or another regulated, safety-critical industry; excellent executive communication.
