Job description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.
The Amazon Robotics team is seeking a System Development Engineer for Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

This role sits at the intersection of enterprise PLM technology and robotics product development, supporting the systems that enable our cross functional teams to design, build, and deliver world-class robotic solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement, configure, and continuously improve Teamcenter PLM to meet evolving business needs.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with hands-on experience in Siemens Teamcenter PLM and an understanding of integrations with Mechanical and Electrical Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Quality and Compliance software.
This role requires an individual who is customer-centric, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable operating with an entrepreneurial mindset

You will collaborate with end-users, cross-functional development teams, and third-party vendors in requirements definition, system design and configuration management, application integrations, and continuously drive operational excellence through software development best practices.
Key job responsibilities
Configure, customize, maintain, and troubleshoot Teamcenter PLM application, workflows, and access controls to support Amazon Robotics product development processes
Translate business requirements into structured, process-aligned solution designs leveraging Teamcenter PLM capabilities across master data, product quality and compliance.
Implement and maintain integrations between Teamcenter and third-party software including CAD tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, EPLAN, Cadence Pulse), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and other enterprise applications
Support Teamcenter enterprise system data migrations, data integrity validation, and change management activities
Maintain and optimize existing AWS infrastructure hosting Teamcenter, implementing solutions that improve efficiency, data security, and cost optimization
Optimize backup and disaster recovery systems and processes for PLM environments
Contribute to architectural discussions on design options, integration patterns, and roadmaps for future scalability
Apply relevant templates, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure efficient and repeatable delivery
Present technical information clearly to stakeholders and participate in knowledge sharing across the team
A day in the life
As a PLM System Development Engineer on the Amazon Robotics team, you bridge technical expertise with customer success. Your day may start by triaging a configuration issue in the Teamcenter environment, then shift to a design session with mechanical or electrical engineers to map a new workflow for change management. In the afternoon, you might work on an integration between Teamcenter, quality and compliance tool, validate data migration scripts, or partner with a vendor to review a deployment plan

Throughout the day, you collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure PLM solutions meet the needs of AR.
About the team
The Amazon Robotics (AR) Technology Enablement Services (TES) Team enables AR's people, purpose, and place to deliver the future. We remove barriers, drive organizational productivity, and foster growth. We serve AR leadership, product customers, and employees, and collaborate with teams throughout FTR

Creating a safe, inclusive, and productive workplace experience. Designing and iterating on learning, development, and engagement solutions to support needs of operators and employees. Synthesizing and articulating AR's long-term strategy, near-term goals, product roadmaps, and workforce strategy.

Developing and managing cross organizational mechanisms, reporting, programs, and Sustainability efforts.
