Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a full time, fully benefited I&E Technician in Alvin/Hastings, TX.ย Wood offers multiple benefits plans to choose from, 401k, vacation, LTD/STD and more.ย 

**Candidates must live local, within a 50-60 mile radius. Not rotational work. No lodging or per diem offered**

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

Key Reponsibilities:ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintenance and Repair on all electrically driven equipment in the facilities and Platform;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintenance and Repair on all Generators;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Installation, Maintenance and Repair to all air conditioning units;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Calibration and Maintenance of Plant and Platform instrumentation;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Breakdown and repair work to Power Plants switchgear;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain and repair all commercial domestic equipment;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Repair and maintenance on heavy plant and other equipment;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintenance and repair to Gas Analysis equipment.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Carries out maintenance, repairs, calibration, programming and troubleshooting of all PLC, DCS, Fire and Gas systems (hardware and software) associated with controlling facilities.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintains communications protocols for the various networks and hardware for human-machine interfaces (HMI).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Loads and configures software on microprocessors and computerized systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Organizes and maintains backup copies of the facility's PLCs and programmable equipment.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs various flow, level, pressure and temperature transmitters and their associated control valves.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Organizes and directs daily work for assigned Trainees.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Carries out routine and planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Carries out maintenance and repairs to turbine control systems

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Carries out work on all instrumentation and electrical equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner under a "Permit to Work" system.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identifies and obtains required spare parts from the onsite warehouse inventory.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responds to operational breakdowns on a 24-hour basis.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Recommends all remedial actions necessary to prevent possible recurrence.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Complies with all corporate policies and fully participates in the STOP program (Safety Training Observation Program).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Reviews and become familiar with the Client's equipment and maintenance procedures;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Reviews from a maintenance perspective and comment on the B3 design documentation;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participates on PHA, operability, maintainability, reliability, and LOPA/SIL review teams;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Monitors topsides fabrication progress to assure maintainability issues are identified and addressed and to witness commissioning activities;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participates in package training classes and learn equipment maintenance requirements and procedures;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist in developing PMRs and training materials for the B3 facility.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provides maintenance support to the commissioning and start up team
