As part of their continued growth in North America, the company is seeking an Applications Engineer specializing  to join their team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In this role, the Applications Engineer will act as a key technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering groups. The position requires a strong technical foundation in and industrial automation along with the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions. The successful candidate will support both pre-sales and post-sales activities, working closely with customers to ensure successful implementation and optimal performance of the company’s products and technologies.

The Applications Engineer will collaborate with product management, R&D, and sales teams to provide application support, product demonstrations, troubleshooting assistance, and technical training. This role also involves participating in new product introductions, validating system performance, and ensuring that customer feedback is communicated back to engineering teams for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include supporting customers with application design and system integration related to  and automation technologies. The engineer will provide technical consultation on solutions involving variable frequency drives, servo drives, PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and energy management platforms. The role also includes testing and evaluating products in real-world applications, assisting with product launches, and developing technical documentation and application notes that support customer adoption.

Candidates should have hands-on experience working with power electronic systems such as AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC converters, motor drives, and charging systems. Familiarity with industrial automation tools and platforms including Allen-Bradley PLCs, servo drive systems, HMIs, and software environments such as VFDSoft, DIAStudio, or Codesys is highly desirable. Knowledge of energy management solutions and industrial automation environments will be an advantage.

The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, as the Applications Engineer will frequently interact with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to explain technical concepts and demonstrate solutions. The ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously is essential.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and have at least one year of relevant experience in , field applications engineering, or industrial automation. Fluency in Mandarin or Chinese, along with English, is required to effectively support customer and partner communications.
