Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium and Playwright to join a fast-paced QA team supporting digital transformation initiatives at Wells Fargo. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automation frameworks, hands-on scripting experience, and a strong understanding of QA methodologies in enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright

  • Design robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks

  • Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases

  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify issues

  • Participate in sprint planning and provide estimates for automation efforts

  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in test processes and tools

  • Perform root cause analysis for failures and work closely with the dev team to resolve issues

  • Ensure quality standards and best practices are followed in all testing activities

 Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in QA automation

  • Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright

  • Proficient in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript for writing automation scripts

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, or similar)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial or banking domain experience is a plus

  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured

  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber is a plus

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools is an advantage
