Technical Automation Engineer (QA Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using BDD (Cucumber) to enable clear, reusable, and maintainable test scenarios.
  • Build and execute automated tests across functional, integration, regression, and API layers, using a risk-based testing approach.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps; collaborate with developers to resolve root causes efficiently.
  • Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure full traceability from requirements to validation.
  • Analyze test execution results and publish quality metrics (e.g., pass/fail rates, flaky test trends, defect leakage, and coverage).
  • Continuously improve automation reliability by reducing flakiness, optimizing execution time, and enabling parallel test runs.
  • Contribute to QA best practices, including framework design, coding standards, and reusable components.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support release readiness, defect triage, and quality gates.
  • Apply performance testing concepts and collaborate on baseline performance validation where needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
  • Experience with at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Cucumber and Selenium.
  • Experience in functional and performance testing.
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Playwright or modern browser automation tools.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and performance analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with synthetic test data generation, data masking, and test data management practices.
  • Understanding of AI/LLM-assisted testing, including test generation and exploratory testing enhancements.
  • Exposure to automated or agent-driven QA workflows for test generation, execution, and reporting.
