As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled in the vibrant community of Fontana, California, your role will transcend the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will empower individuals, renew their self-esteem, and foster meaningful connections-from children articulating their first words to older adults regaining their independence once more.
This position offers the rare chance to work across various demographic groups in a dynamic environment that combines both outpatient and occasional inpatient support. Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients from diverse age groups, employing established assessments and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements of patients.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to enhance treatment outcomes beyond clinical settings.
  • Infrequently participate in inpatient assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring continuity in patient care throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with all state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field through education and peer interactions.

  • Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) if ASHA certification hasn't been obtained yet.
Licenses and Certifications

  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Essential Skills
  • Compelling command of evidence-based practices addressing a wide range of age groups, with a thorough understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills that foster positive interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility in adapting therapeutic techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic profiles.
  • Strong clinical insight and adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and compliance with documentation standards.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Flexible work hours, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and manage varied caseloads.
  • Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options available.
  • Continuing education reimbursement and support for professional growth.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented environment committed to delivering quality care and fostering lifelong learning.

A Journey of Growth Awaits You
In this role, you will not just provide speech therapy; you will become part of a community dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and finding joy in life's simplest interactions: being understood and understanding others.
