Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the marketing and public relation efforts, including: Management of marketing and communications efforts both inside and outside the office; Ensure regulatory compliance for marketing; Coordination with staff as needed; Assist with other tasks as assigned. Know and support the practice mission, long-term business plan, and short-term goals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Stay current with trends, legislation and regulations in the dental profession
  • Direct marketing initiatives and exposure for the office under the guidance of the COO
  • Be up-to-date with new technology and platforms, including the use of AI
  • Travel involved around the state of Alabama; Will vary from week to week
  • Work with other departments of the business to ensure clear and efficient communications in regard to marketing and public relations

Marketing Management

  • Design marketing and promotional materials (physical, print and electronic) and order as needed
  • Prepare and publish dental office advertising, including promotions, educational material and recruiting ads for new staff
  • Create quarterly marketing plans and initiatives
  • Manage monthly marketing campaigns
  • Implement marketing strategies
  • Update practice website and connected platforms regularly to maintain accuracy and relevant content
  • Meet with vendors and field inquiries as they pertain to event participation, advertising opportunities and/or marketing
  • Conduct and coordinate giveaways for all offices
  • Serve as a liaison to staff in all offices under the Children’s Dentistry for Alabama umbrella and their marketing efforts, including what is going on in each office, helping plan events and campaigns, and acquire photos for use in marketing efforts
  • Post regularly on social media

  • Monitor social media reviews and report analytics monthly
  • Management of Google platforms and maintenance of business profiles
  • Work with marketing companies and provide ROI data
  • Understand and utilize AI to integrate in with marketing for all offices
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to management for evaluation


Public Relations Management

  • Coordinate event planning, conference travel, volunteering, mentoring programs, etc. as directed from time to time
  • Handle all requests for marketing participation from community partners
  • Attend community events and health fairs, etc. as needed
  • Serve as a community outreach partner
  • Management of referrals and relationships with other dental offices
  • Develop and implement a referral program for Oral Surgery


QUALIFICATIONS:


Educational/Experience

  • Degree in Marketing or Public Relations or in lieu of a degree, 5+ year of marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, creative platforms, and AI
  • Experience in working as part of a team on creative campaigns
