Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to accelerate Utila’s growth in the North America region. In this role, you will build and nurture relationships with regional partners, identify new business opportunities, and help shape Utila’s go-to-market strategy. You’ll work closely with leadership, product, and sales to unlock new revenue channels and expand our footprint in the digital assets ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, create, and close new business opportunities across fintech,digital assets, and enterprise verticals.
  • Build and manage relationships with key industry players, from financial institutions to technology providers.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate market needs into product direction.
  • Lead outbound initiatives, market research, and competitive analyses to support Utila’s growth strategy.
  • Represent Utila at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.
  • Drive the full BD lifecycle - from prospecting to negotiation to long-term relationship management.
  • Track KPIs, pipeline progress, and market insights for leadership.

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Sales in fintech, banking, AML, cyber, or digital assets.
  • Strong understanding of the financial ecosystem,fintech platforms, payment systems, exchanges, custodians, or enterprise security.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate with internal C-level executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, build strategic pipelines, and drive deals to closure.
  • High ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the year, with monthly travel required.
  • Advantage: experience with crypto/digital asset infrastructure, blockchain products, or financial platforms.
