Job description

Mr. Splash Car Wash - In search of an Assistant General Manager (AGM):

The Assistant General Manager has a key leadership role responsible for driving team performance and ensuring the store's overall success. Acting as the General Manager's right hand, they take charge when the manager is off, running the store with the same level of accountability and care. The Assistant General Manager is crucial in developing team members, maintaining operations, and contributing to the store's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit commission reports at the end of each pay period to HR to ensure inclusion in Payroll.
  • Creating work schedules for all staff during operational hours and ensuring all shifts are covered for operational hours.
  • Payroll data entries, ensure staff punches match published schedules.
  • Communicate with the General Manager as to any site/vending supply needs for monthly orders.
  • Be first contact in dealing with customer complaints in a swift and meaningful way.
  • Being a problem solver and plan when problems occur.
  • Ensuring daily deposits are accurate and mistakes are resolved, and continued training of staff if patterns and trends continue.
  • Complete other duties assigned by Management.
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures.
  • Cash and security management.
  • Provide coaching to team members based on KPI's to improve performance and accountability.
  • Complete required training for all team members.
  • Uphold the dress and grooming standards.
  • Track site specific KPI's and provide coaching to hit those goals.
  • Support GM with onboarding, interviewing, and offboarding.
  • Manage every aspect of daily operations.
  • Being the driving factor in sales, operations and training development.
  • Ensure all daily and weekly checklists are being completed.

Work Conditions:

  • Assistant General Managers need to be physically fit and are expected to work in all types of weather. Work shifts are typically 8-10 hours long and may include evenings and weekends. Staff may be required to wear their own clothes (excluding what is required by Mr. Splash Car Wash) that are appropriate for the working conditions.

Abilities:

  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must remain flexible; available to work any shift, to ensure the staffing needs are met, maintaining great customer service no matter the volume.
  • Must be able to implement and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, to avoid delays and shutdowns for customers.
  • Must be able to physically perform the duties and responsibilities for all car wash operations. To include standing for extended periods of time, climbing ladders, cleaning/removing debris from tunnel trench and moving chemical barrels.
  • Must maintain a proactive safety awareness, maintain a positive attitude, be a team player, and operate with integrity and honesty as a member of the Mr. Splash team.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical knowledge highly recommended
  • Associate degree or higher (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in customer care (minimum 5 years)
  • Managerial knowledge and experience are required (minimum 3 years)
