Job description

Responsible for achieving the fundraising revenue target for their state or area. Plans and executes state and area-level fundraising events. Develop and implement event goals, analyze the effectiveness of events, establish relationships, and solicit event sponsors/donors; manage contractors, vendors, sponsors, employees, and volunteers. Oversees the planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale state events, such as walks and special fundraising events. Ensures consistency in event standards and best practices across assigned state(s).

This is a remote position that will require the selected candidate to reside in Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County. The salary for this position is $57,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale state events, such as walks and special fundraising events.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations to secure financial support.
  • Revenue target: $150k +
  • Conduct prospect research to identify major donors and funding opportunities aligned with MADD's priorities.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, donor cultivation events, and initiatives to expand the donor base in conjunction with Regional Development Director.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Development Director to create a fundraising roadmap and meet fundraising goals.
  • Actively network through community organizations as appropriate to support fund development.
  • Represent MADD Mission Operations at donor meetings, networking events, and public speaking engagements.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with community leaders, potential donors, and key stakeholders to expand MADD's presence.
  • Tracks fundraising activities and sponsorship engagement in Salesforce.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience raising revenue greater than $200k, depending on state size and complexity.
  • Proven track record in development, partner cultivation, and public relations
  • Experience in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and quality in documents, reports, and communications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset to address challenges and propose solutions.
  • A collaborative and adaptable team player who can work effectively within a diverse team and contribute positively to team dynamics.
  • Must have dependable transportation and be able to travel approximately 40% of the time, as MADD Central Florida serves Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Lake, Brevard, Volusia, Indian River, Highlands, and Okeechobee Counties. Approved business mileage is reimbursed in accordance with MADD policy.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, effectively manage priorities, and perform successfully with limited supervision
  • The preferred candidate will possess an established professional network within the Central Florida community and demonstrate the ability to cultivate, develop, and sustain strategic relationships with corporate partners, community organizations, civic leaders, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.
