Job description

SUMMARY:

Provides support to Player Development, Marketing, and Promotions while serving as an entry-level player relationship position focused on identifying, engaging, and developing potential high-value guests. Builds initial relationships with guests on the casino floor, encourages proper Player’s Club card usage, documents guest activity and interactions, and communicates qualified player leads to Casino Hosts, Executive Hosts, or Player Development leadership for follow-up, relationship development, and potential host assignment.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ASSIGNED:

  • Work under supervision of Player Development Manager to ensure all promotion procedures and events are handled in a timely manner.
  • Full understanding of Gold Experience Club procedures, departmental policies, operations and adhere to system of Internal Controls.
  • Greets and establishes rapport with customers by working with Player Development to develop a toolbox of guest benefits and amenities to drive business levels.
  • Identifies potential high-value or developing players through floor interaction, Player’s Club card usage, observed play, guest inquiries, and available player development resources.
  • Initiates first-contact relationships with qualified or potential premium guests in a professional, welcoming, and non-intrusive manner.
  • Encourages uncarded or inconsistently carded guests to enroll in and properly use their Player’s Club card while explaining relevant program benefits.
  • Works closely with Casino Hosts, Executive Hosts, and Player Development leadership to ensure the proper upward mobility, follow-up, and assignment of prospected players.
  • Documents player contacts, guest preferences, observed play behavior, and follow-up opportunities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicates qualified player leads to the Player Development Manager, Casino Hosts, or Executive Hosts for review, follow-up, and potential host assignment.
  • Supports the transition of developing players into assigned host relationships by providing relevant background information, guest preferences, and interaction notes.
  • Maintains awareness of coded and uncoded players to help ensure emerging-value guests receive appropriate service without disrupting existing host relationships.
  • Uses approved criteria, internal reports, and leadership direction to help identify guests who may qualify for elevated Player Development attention.
  • Assist with all promotions as necessary.
  • Communicate with guests via telephone, email or in person in an efficient manner.
  • Coordinate guest reservations for restaurants, events, and hotel accommodations to ensure the best guest experience possible.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to guests. Must be an excellent listener and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
  • Recommends or processes approved PBT and comps for eligible guests within established guidelines and approval limits, using available player information and direction from Player Development leadership.
  • Assist with Promotional Announcements to increase recognition among guests.
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of all slot machines, table games, and bingo games in order to help customers with game location and promotion.
  • Work within defined budgetary parameters.
  • Accurately report all player development data in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in all aspects of VIP events.
  • Maintain clear thorough communication and excellent working relationships with all Gold Country Casino Resort departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Casino’s internal control policy and procedure as it relates to the position’s stated job description.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentially, professionalism and ethical business conduct.
  • Assists Marketing and Promotions with assigned administrative, event, digital, branding, and communication support duties as needed.
  • Prepare reports as requested, take photos of jackpot winners and other administrative duties as requested/assigned.
  • Represent Casino at different public and social events.
  • Make announcements on microphone about casino promotions and events.
  • Assist in running weekly tournaments and promotions as needed.
  • Works within a team to ensure that all items needed to carry out promotions and special events are in the appropriate place in a timely manner, including necessary supplies and decorations.
  • Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
  • Must be knowledgeable about all casino activities and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required. LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the Company.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Preferred Associated Degree. Minimum of one year in casino, customer service or sales preferred. Proficient in excel and developing assigned reports.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
