The Position

The Head Women’s Flag Football Coach is a key leader in establishing and developing the Women’s Flag Football program from its inception. This position is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, administration and competitive success of the program, directing all aspects of coaching, recruitment, program development, and compliance with institutional, conference and national governing body regulations. The Head Coach is expected to lead the college team in all aspects of student-athlete success by modeling a championship program rooted in character, communication, and excellence, both on the field and in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, retain, and develop female student-athletes with a commitment to academic and athletic success.
  • Implement a comprehensive strategy for scheduling and organizing practices and competitions, including travel, accommodations and meals, to ensure proper preparation for student-athletes.
  • Manage operational, fiscal and administrative responsibilities of the flag football program.
  • Demonstrate a high level of involvement in the personal, academic development and health and welfare of student-athletes.
  • Support the Division of College Advancement with fundraising efforts and alumni activities

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in coaching flag football or football (2-5 years); collegiate level coaching preferred
