About the role
Are you passionate about soccer and helping players develop their skills in a positive, team-focused environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic Soccer Team Coach to support youth soccer programs at Delhi Park Fields in Ohio. This as-needed position is ideal for individuals who enjoy mentoring athletes, promoting sportsmanship, and creating a fun and engaging experience for players of all skill levels. The position requires standing and actively coaching for up to 2 hours on Fridays.

Provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for swim team participants. Attends swim meets and team functions throughout the year, and is responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, safe and positive environment for the swim team participants.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Create and lead age-appropriate training sessions focused on skill development, tactical awareness, fitness, teamwork, and player progression.
  • Actively coach and supervise structured team practices during scheduled weekday evenings and weekend sessions throughout the year.
  • Assist with soccer camps, clinics, and development programs offered between competitive seasons.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, player development, and enjoyment of the game.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all players by enforcing program policies and maintaining appropriate supervision during practices and games.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized training and competition environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • US Soccer coaching license/credentials preferred.
  • 1+ years of soccer coaching experience, playing experience, or a combination of both preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development principles, and age-appropriate coaching techniques.
  • Ability to effectively teach, motivate, and develop players of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic presence with strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with players, parents, coaches, and program staff.
  • Adult/Child CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.

The compensation range for this role is $18/hr - $20/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
