BDC Representative Job Description 


Responsibilities:
  • Check email frequently and respond to inquiries immediately;
  • Present initial financing options based on customer needs;
  • Answer customer calls and establish follows-up with sales appointments;
  • Deliver inquiries/messages intended for other sales personnel and departments promptly;
  • Provide customers with initial product information and direct them to the appropriate dealership resources;
  • Direct customers to product information resources, including those available on the internet;
  • Handle all incoming internet and phone leads;
  • Participate in team and process development sessions – keeping positive relationships with teammates, sales teams and dealership management;
  • Be available to promptly respond to live chat, phone and email inquiries in a professional and well-spoken manner;
  • Follow up with leads that are not ready to make an appointment or no-show;
  • Contacting clients prior to appointment date to confirm appointment;
  • Mailing marketing letters to provided leads;
  • Following up post visit to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Receiving inbound sales phone calls and leads;
  • Placing outbound phone calls to potential leads.
Requirements:
  • Coachable and able to follow a specific process
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive “team-player” attitude
  • Time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to multi-task are required
  • Previous automotive dealership experience a plus
  • Flexible availability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable making outbound calls daily
  • Prior internet sales, BDC, or related experience a plus
  • Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Be self-motivated and goal oriented.
