The Product Owner will lead our technology transformation, guiding the organization off its current custom CRM and onto modern enterprise platforms built to scale. The Product Owner will serve as our ongoing technical product authority, ensuring the organization continually evaluates and adopts technology that meets evolving business needs long after the initial transition is complete.
This is a highly technical, strategic role. The Product Owner defines the product vision, owns requirements, and serves as the primary technical liaison to our external development vendor. Final platform and investment decisions are made in partnership with executive leadership. The Product Owner will work cohesively with the Sr. Technology and Operations Lead who serves as the project execution lead responsible for timelines, sprint coordination, and day-to-day delivery management.
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMATION & PLATFORM STRATEGY
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new enterprise software platforms to replace the current custom CRM, applying deep knowledge of the vendor landscape to identify solutions that meet current needs and that will continue to scale with future growth
• Define the technical architecture and integration strategy for new platforms in partnership with the external development team, escalating platform and investment decisions to executive leadership for final approval
• Translate organizational requirements into a phased implementation roadmap, with clear milestones and success criteria
• Maintain an ongoing technology roadmap beyond initial implementation while continuously assessing emerging tools and platforms to ensure the organization remains on modern, effective systems
• Champion the adoption strategy and partner with the Sr. Technology & Operations Lead on execution to minimize disruption
PRODUCT OWNERSHIP & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Serve as product owner across all technology initiatives, owning the technical scope, priorities, and product decisions in alignment with executive direction
• Gather and analyze business and user needs across all stakeholder groups, translating them into clear, actionable product requirements
• Define system objectives and scope, ensuring every initiative maps directly to organizational goals
• Author detailed technical documentation for the external development team, including functional specifications, release notes, and platform configuration requirements
• Set product priorities and manage trade-offs, ensuring the right technical work is always in flight
• Identify process and technology gaps, recommending enterprise best-practice solutions informed by hands-on experience
• Communicate product priorities and sequencing decisions with clear context on scope and stakeholder expectations.
EXTERNAL VENDOR & DEVELOPMENT PARTNER MANAGEMENT
• Serve as the primary technical liaison with our external development company (Soliant), owning all technical communication, requirements delivery, and feature design direction
• The Sr. Technology & Operations Lead serves as Soliant's day-to-day coordination contact for scheduling and operational logistics; the Product Owner is Soliant's primary point of contact for all technical requirements, product decisions, and feature direction
• Drive delivery accountability and set clear expectations, critically evaluate estimates, and ensure code and features are delivered to spec
• Collaborate with the Sr. Technology & Operations Lead on deployment prioritization, budget tracking, and overall vendor engagement
• Identify and resolve technical delivery blockers quickly, escalating when necessary to protect momentum
QUALITY ASSURANCE & DELIVERY
• Define and enforce technical quality standards, ensuring production readiness before any deployment
• Lead UAT planning and execution in coordination with internal stakeholders, validating that delivered features meet defined requirements
• Partner with the Sr. Technology and Operations Lead on internal rollout coordination and change management for new systems and features
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Background
• 7-10 years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or technology program leadership role required
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise software evaluations and implementations, including CRM or ERP platform transitions
• Proven track record managing external development vendors or technology partners, with direct accountability for technical delivery
