About the Role:

As a Hardware Platform Product Manager, youll work on advanced technologies and products to solve interesting customer problems, playing a key role in driving and delivering the platform roadmap.

This role is a great fit for a team player with a creative and learning mindset, and with solid engineering depth. Its a great opportunity to work closely with the Nexthop leadership team and help deliver on their vision.

Job Responsibilities:

Be the Subject Matter Expertise for Nexthop hardware platforms

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through deep expertise in Nexthops products and solutions, support key internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Nexthop teams - hardware and software engineering, customer engineering, marketing, and account managers, to share knowledge and drive go-to-market for products to market effectively and drive customer adoption
  • Proactively develop high quality collateral to support sales and marketing activities
  • Build relationships with Nexthops customers - executives, engineering and operations teams to communicate product roadmaps and identify specific problems that need to be addressed in the short term or incorporated into product roadmaps

Drive on-time execution of Products

  • Identify feature requirements and prioritize, balancing internal and external stakeholders and managing expectations
  • Continuously engage with Nexthops technology partners to facilitate long term product planning and mid to short term issues
  • Continuously refine product management practices, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, scale and effectiveness

Drive product Go-to-Market and Strategy

  • Proactively identify risks across the portfolio, particularly at the intersection of business and engineering. Develop long and short term mitigation strategies
  • Proactively analyze competing systems and solutions, deliver high quality analyses to support sales and marketing activity
  • Help with product launches, industry events, conferences and ensure messaging and positioning is aligned towards positive brand creation

Qualifications:

We're seeking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative startup and possess exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for taking initiative and learning. Additionally we value individuals who practice and instill customer empathy. The following skills are essential for this role,

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field - Masters degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a product manager, technical marketing engineer across networking technologies - switching, routing hardware systems, silicon, optics and interconnects
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience as a hardware engineer is a plus
  • Significant experience with network architectures for Hyperscaler, Cloud, HPC and AI/ML environments, including technology adjacencies
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, leading-edge environment, bringing domain expertise and enhancing team productivity
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
