We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving Capital One. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.

People Tech is responsible for the digital transformation and operational excellence of Capital One's corporate functions. General Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

  • Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business

  • Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards

  • Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.

  • Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities

  • Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation

  • Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective

  • Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 6 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks

  • At least 4 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform

  • At least 2 year of experience with calculated fields or custom reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration (Recruiting, Benefits, TM/PM)

  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment

  • Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management)

  • 2+ years of experience with Workday Security or Workday Reporting

  • 1+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB's)

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
