Job description

CAMC Plateau Medical Center, part of the nationally recognized Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Health System, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join our dedicated and growing surgical team in Oak Hill, WV. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice broad-based general surgery in a supportive, community-centered hospital environment backed by the resources of a leading academic medical system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive general surgical care including both elective and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in hospital call coverage on a shared rotation schedule.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing advancement of surgical services within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
  • Eligible for unrestricted West Virginia medical licensure.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
