Job description

Job Summary:

General plant labor, to include operating machinery, forklift operation, grinder operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.

1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • General plant labor
  • Utilize and operate a forklift
  • Plate Freezer Operation
  • Inventory counts
  • Stretch Wrapper Operation
  • Pressure Washer Operation
  • Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
  • Shovel and clean up spills in the plant
  • Keep barrels emptied of trash and product
  • Clean equipment from top to bottom
  • Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains
  • Paint as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will typically not supervise another position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to climb stairs and silos.
  • Ability to stand for entire shift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standing, climbing, walking, and working overhead
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Inside and Outside
  • Hot and cold temperatures
