Job description

The Nissei Maintenance Technician develops, implements, and improves single-stage injection molding processes & equipment throughout Plastipak's manufacturing sites. Your technical expertise will support overall operations, maintenance, installations, and various other projects. In addition to providing troubleshooting and equipment support, you will also support training as a technical resource on injection molding equipment & best practices.

This position requires regular travel to our US sites, approximately 50% of the time. The role can be based at any of our site locations listed above.

You Will:

  • Provide advanced technical support to Plastipak facilities with Nissei single-stage molding operations

  • Analyze equipment and process performance metrics in an effort to standardize & develop best practices within global sites

  • Lead process improvement projects, as well as new equipment installations

  • Continually improve maintenance operations of Nissei systems & related equipment, as well as standardized processes through SAP software

  • Explore new technologies & implement those applicable to Nissei operations

You Have:

  • 10+ years' experience with Nissei single-stage equipment & manufacturing processes

  • Advanced hands-on experience & deep subject-matter technical expertise of injection molding processes, including troubleshooting and new machine installation experience

  • Demonstrated success transferring knowledge & developing equipment maintenance skills in others

  • Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills

  • Ability to regularly travel 50% across the US
