Job description

We are seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory control, material sourcing, and shipping support across 3 manufacturing plants with approximately 150 employees.

The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader who can manage people, maintain accurate inventory, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Purchase raw materials from confirmed Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain required raw material inventory levels and prevent shortages.
  • Prepare daily inventory and perpetual inventory reports.
  • Manage customer-specific inventory, including Plastics and Globe Materials.
  • Source materials and prepare cost estimates for new samples.
  • Record materials ordered for inventory tracking.
  • Scan and file packing lists.
  • Send packing lists and COCs to Accounting for payment processing.
  • Coordinate shipments of samples and special customer requests.
  • Provide customer inventory reports when requested.
  • Perform and report month-end physical inventory counts.
  • Manage and provide direction and feedback to employees.
  • Handle additional responsibilities and projects assigned by Management.


Requirements:

  • Experience in purchasing, inventory control, materials management, or manufacturing.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Confident personality with the ability to manage employees and provide constructive feedback.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
