Job description
We are seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory control, material sourcing, and shipping support across 3 manufacturing plants with approximately 150 employees.
The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader who can manage people, maintain accurate inventory, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase raw materials from confirmed Purchase Orders.
- Maintain required raw material inventory levels and prevent shortages.
- Prepare daily inventory and perpetual inventory reports.
- Manage customer-specific inventory, including Plastics and Globe Materials.
- Source materials and prepare cost estimates for new samples.
- Record materials ordered for inventory tracking.
- Scan and file packing lists.
- Send packing lists and COCs to Accounting for payment processing.
- Coordinate shipments of samples and special customer requests.
- Provide customer inventory reports when requested.
- Perform and report month-end physical inventory counts.
- Manage and provide direction and feedback to employees.
- Handle additional responsibilities and projects assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Experience in purchasing, inventory control, materials management, or manufacturing.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Confident personality with the ability to manage employees and provide constructive feedback.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
