Additional Job Description:
West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division and the Department of Surgery seek a Plastic Surgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Plastic Surgery In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. A successful candidate must have completed a surgical residency program. Fellowship in Plastic Surgery required. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Plastic Surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
Martinsburg, WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD close to 3 international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to the Washington DC / Baltimore areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place in which to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic.
