NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, is seeking a part-time Plastic Surgeon to join our dedicated and collaborative team. Woodhull Medical Center is a 310-bed Level II Trauma Center located in North Brooklyn, serving the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint as part of the NYC Health + Hospitals network.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate plastic surgeon to provide high-quality clinical care on a flexible part-time basis (0.5 FTE). The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, deliver exceptional patient care, and contribute to the growth and development of our plastic surgery services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in patient education, follow-up care, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support the growth and reputation of the plastic surgery program
Qualifications
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Proven clinical expertise in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, urban healthcare environment
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package and a stimulating work environment, including:
• Annual base salary:
$161,000
• 403(b)/457 participation with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement of $3,000-$3,500, including one week of paid CME time
• Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 (contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics)
