Job description

Summary
The Toyoda Gosei Group is a leading global manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive components, safety systems and LEDs. Globally Headquartered in Japan with a network of 67 group companies in 17 countries and regions, the Group brings its extensive range of products to customers all over the world.
Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Sales Specialist in the Toyota Weatherstrip Sales department. The Sales Specialist functions with a high degree of autonomy under the direction of the Manager, and is responsible for responsible for professional level sales process support for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage orders from customers and coordinate with AMC team members
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate pricing for pre-production and prototype orders
• Diligently track and record all orders and quotes in the appropriate worksheets and systems
• Manage open issues with AMCs and external customers including ordering, quality, and delivery
• Work cross-functionally to coordinate pre-production and prototype concerns with the customer
• Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
• Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is critical to success
• This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned


Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Certifications and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience is required


Experience

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in an Engineering or Sales function is preferred
• Previous experience in a Sales role is preferred
