Large plastic resins company has an excellent opportunity available in the Detroit, MI area for a Sales Account Manager. Summary & Objectives

This position is responsible for the sale of products and provides ongoing support to the mobility team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned accounts.
  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
  • Initiate and maintain the relationship with end-users and/or targeted customers with technical knowledge, account strategies, planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Become actively involved in a new customer orientation and sales training programs.
  • Act as a resource to customers in application development opportunities and proposals.
  • Keep informed of new products, services, market trends, and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining targeted customers.
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided.
  • Answer questions from customers and handle complaints.
  • Meet the minimum sale criteria agreed in MBO.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

  • Experience in thermoplastics, polyolefins, HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, Polycarbonate, injection molding, or extrusion would be a plus.


Travel

Approximately 50% of overnight travel may be expected. Travel is primarily out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
