10 hour Days, 6:30a-4:30p Monday through Thursday
10 hour Nights, 8:30p - 6:30a Sunday through Wednesday
 
Serigraph is seeking a Molding / Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining molding equipment. The position requires adherence to productivity goals, quality standards, and safety regulations. The operator will also document production activities and collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth operation and issue resolution.
Molding / Machine Operator Responsibilities:
  • Meet predetermined productivity and quality standards for molding operations.
  • Operate molding presses.
  • Communicate with press operators from previous and following shifts to relay job-specific information.
  • Properly record all necessary production data in the labor reporting system, QA forms, job tickets, and move tags.
  • Load and remove appliqués from the press.
  • Read and interpret blueprints for production specifications.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve quality.
  • Operate injection molding machines, including loading and unloading parts.
  • Conduct daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Ensure quality and stop production to correct quality concerns.  Inform management of products and/or processes that do not conform to requirements.
  • Ensure all environmental practices and materials are handled and disposed of per appropriate procedures in your area.
  • Support Serigraph current quality business system and understand use of SPECS, the Serigraph quality manual.
What we are looking for in a Molding / Machine Operator:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of equipment, tooling, and controls related to molding operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot molding-related process and equipment issues.
  • Ability to interpret and understand job tickets.
  • Knowledge of good departmental and company safety/housekeeping/PPE practices.
  • Understand departmental procedures and policies.
Preferred Qualifications for a Molding / Machine Operator:
  • Experience with computer systems, including Windows-based platforms and Titan.
  • Ability to analyze printing or material variations.
  • Effective documentation and communication skills to share job-related information with co-workers and management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.
