As a plastic fabricator, your duties are to operate manufacturing equipment for plastic materials, such as automotive parts, aerospace components, and other materials. Your responsibilities are to machine pieces to the appropriate specifications, oversee the assembly of any constituent parts into larger pieces, form components with particular properties and methods, such as heating and cooling (indicated by the engineering directions), and maintain and repair your equipment as needed. You may help with the engineering process, testing out materials and molds for new products.
