Job Summary

We are seeking an early‑career sales professional to join the sales team at our corporate office in Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the South Sales Team Leader, this individual contributor role supports sales and account management activities within the U.S. petrochemical plastics business, focusing on developing foundational sales competencies, product knowledge, and market understanding through support and management of assigned existing customer accounts. With experience and demonstrated performance, the role will gradually expand to include involvement in new customer and business development activities under the direction of senior sales leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage and support assigned existing customer accounts to maintain satisfaction, retention, and stable growth.
  • Support new customer identification and market expansion initiatives for petrochemical plastics (ABS, ASA, and PC) across North America.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain ongoing technical and commercial communication to understand needs, propose solutions, and strengthen relationships.
  • Assist with market and industry analysis to support pricing decisions, profitability, and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate order processing, logistics, inventory control, and sales forecasting through SAP to ensure accurate execution and on‑time delivery.
  • Manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and support forecasting to help achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor accounts receivable status and support follow‑ups to reduce aging and facilitate timely collection.
Additional Functions
  • Conduct market research and prepare reports on market conditions, customer trends, and potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and headquarters to support account management activities, resolve issues, and assist with business growth initiatives.
  • Gradually expand responsibilities from account support to new customer and business development as product knowledge, market understanding, and experience increase.
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or customer‑facing roles.
  • Valid driver’s license required with ability to legally operate a motor vehicle for business travel.
  • Sales experience in petrochemical resins or engineering plastics (ABS, ASA, PC preferred).
  • Experience working with plastic manufacturers or distributors.
  • Exposure to appliance, automotive, medical, or industrial materials markets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and prepare professional reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of SAP (ERP) systems preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%.
  • Strong relationship‑building and collaboration skills with developing influencing ability.
  • Self‑driven mindset with accountability and willingness to learn.
Work Environment

The position is primarily based in a corporate office environment but may involve periodic visits to customer manufacturing facilities. During such visits, the role may be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions, including moving product samples, noise, fumes, vibrations, dust, or other operational elements associated with industrial settings. LGCAI provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
