This position with the Duininck Asphalt Production team offers the opportunity to operate and maintain asphalt plant production, ensure material quality, support truck logistics, and contribute directly to successful paving projects.

The Role:

  • Safely operate the asphalt plant according to the production schedule, using appropriate materials to achieve required mix quality.
  • Coordinate with truck drivers delivering and picking up materials and mix from the plant.
  • Perform daily safety inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Work closely with the Plant Oiler and other crew members to maintain plant functions, perform service tasks, and assist with repairs when necessary.
  • Report service or repair requirements to the shop team.
  • Partner with QM/QC personnel to ensure mixes meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Keep equipment clean and prepare plant components for relocation or transport as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe jobsite environment.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and plan work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project needs.
  • Travel throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas.
