Job description

About the role:
As a Senior Engineer (AP1000 Commissioning Support)you will will be responsible for leading development of Westinghouse products in support of the APx Commissioning organization. You will establish the standard commissioning program and procedures and support infrastructure development needed to support the various scopes.
You will report to the Commissioning Manager and be located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead application development and deployment with a cross functional team of engineers
  • Develop and maintain the standard commissioning program strategy document
  • Develop and maintain a recommended standard commissioning schedule
  • Develop and maintain a set of standard commissioning administrative procedures
  • Develop pre-operational and startup testing, including system turnover packages following engineering specifications
  • Plan and implement a comprehensive training program to ensure readiness of deployable test engineers
  • Identify and support procurement of specialty test equipment
  • Support APX project teams as requested
  • Support the APx Project Development group responding to customer requests for information

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience with the operations of nuclear power plants
  • Experience
  • Understanding of ITAACs (Inspections, Tests, Analysis, Acceptance Criteria)
  • Key skills in the following areas are needed to be successful:
    • Strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance
    • Analytical thinking and root cause analysis
    • Project coordination and time management
    • Support a cross-functional team.
    • First time quality in documentation

Beneficial:
  • Understanding of the AP1000 COL process.
  • Understanding of AP1000 ITAACs (Inspections, Tests, Analysis, Acceptance Criteria) and their use in the delivery of the AP1000.
