Summary

Step into a hands-on role where your work directly impacts the products customers rely on every day. As a WPL Production Associate, you will play a key part in keeping our production and distribution operations running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. From setting up production lines to palletizing, supporting box room operations, and handling totes, you will help ensure products are prepared, packaged, and delivered with quality and care. You will be part of a team that values safety, consistency, and teamwork, with clear processes and high standards guiding everything we do. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical, hands-on work, take pride in doing things right the first time, and thrive in a dynamic environment where every shift makes a difference.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, weekends as needed. 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products.
  • Ability to complete 202 cases an hour.
  • Ability to verify labels and safety chain.
  • Operates machinery and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve production targets.
  • Participates in company and department safety programs.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a distribution warehouse.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

When in a plant environment:

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes.
  • The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required.
  • May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May handle products varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
