Job description

Overview

As a strategic, proactive partner to the LOB executive and senior leadership, the Performance Analyst provides sound, relevant, impactful and timely information by comparing intended outcomes with actual results.  Performs analysis to define, design and develop business strategies related to market, product, and process, recommending solutions to improve Line of Business profitability.  Owns line of business profitability and pricing models.  Provides direction to Business Support Analysts.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with LOB on setting business goals.
  • Analyze information(financial, sales, operational and/or market) related to
    • Budgeting/Forecasting
    • Key LOB metrics
    • Re-engineering of business processes
    • Product review and development
  • Identification of LOB trends and patterns for cause and effect relationships. Use data, statistical models and research to detect trends and make predictions of the future based on insights gained.
  • Evaluation of opportunities within the market or existing customer base.
  • Explore impact of decisions and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Ability to process highly complex tactical and strategic business problems including alternatives and recommended solutions.
  • Own and develop relationship with other LOB analysts, working to optimize and enhance corporate strategies.
  • Develop presentations for communication of line of business objectives and results.

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred. Financial services specific experience preferred. 
  • BA or BS required. MBA preferred and may be required. 
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills required.  
  • Understanding and use of an enterprise performance management and reporting tools.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior managers.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks / projects, meet deadlines, and re-prioritize as warranted.
  • Strong facilitation skills including the ability to guide, advise and influence.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills required.
