Job Description
HII-Mission Technologies is looking for a Manager Production Planning and Scheduler 1 (MPPS1) to provide leadership for HII-MT CEMAT Aircraft Carrier Climate Control Inspection Team (ACCCIT) Group. The MPPS1 requires knowledge of work practices within the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) to support CEMAT's work package. The MPPS1 will interface with upper management, government representatives, Ship's Force management, NNS, and various other group that help support CEMAT's work package and established expectation of their tasks. The MPPS1 performs day-to-day management of the CEMAT ACCCIT Group, ensuring work gets accomplished according to procedures both quality and technical types as well as develops day-to-day, long term and strategic objectives to ensure that CEMAT stays on track in the RCOH in order to complete it assigned work package.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Overseeing and managing the all aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison working with all levels of management including outside entities (AIT, NNS, Ship's Force) and the project team.
• Tracking and maintaining records on Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and schedule management. Identifying/ implementing process improvement opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
• Developing mechanisms for monitoring progress and problem solving within Team Leads & production teams.
• Ability to effectively manage teams, which they are diverse teams made up of electricians, mechanics, pipefitters, and welders responsible for over 4500-line items of repairs.
• Attend Daily coordination meetings (Manage Daily objectives, Clear/Resolve conflicts and set clear expectations).
• Adhering to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret complex NAVSEA drawings and be able to incorporate changes as directed by Government and/or Ship's Force.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, safety to meet customer-satisfaction and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have management experience in shipyard environment, knowledgeable of different trade requirements (etc. Electrician, Mechanics. Welders, Pipe Fitters, Braziers).
  • Must have knowledge of schedule production tracking systems such as TSSR, POA&M and Ship's Force Integrated Maintenance System (SFIMs).

Preferred Requirements
  • Directly responsible for the mechanical assessments, planning, maintenance, repairs, and final testing of the following systems below; along with any assigned work directed by Project/Program Management Team:
  • Navy Standard Ventilation Recirc systems (800 + Systems),Unit Heaters, Ventilation
  • Attend daily Topside Agenda.as CEMAT representative with NNS, SOS, and Ships Force.
  • Attend weekly Meeting to include Build to test; DNI, C.O. Agenda meeting and all Key event meeting that include CEMAT.

Physical Requirements
May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
