System Planning Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineer to apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications for the design and construction of power-related systems. This role involves supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications. You will also provide guidance and quality assurance for contractors developing design solutions and construction packages.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering processes and design criteria to design and construct power-related systems.
  • Support the preparation of estimates and develop design options.
  • Prepare construction specifications and transmit construction packages.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety.
  • Understand processes for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
  • Utilize all relevant software applications used in design.
  • Support construction and maintenance teams during daily operations.

Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with ABET Accreditation is required.
Experience: This position requires 0-5 years of related experience.
Skills:
  • Introductory engineering knowledge and basic problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability to read and interpret engineering plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to build effective relationships.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering field.
