Job Summary:

The Richards School Leadership Team (SLT) Member plays a vital role in supporting the school's vision, mission, and continuous improvement efforts. This individual collaborates with administration, teachers, and staff to foster a culture of academic excellence, positive school climate, and professional growth. SLT members contribute to decision-making processes, assist in implementing school-wide initiatives, and serve as liaisons between stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • School Improvement Planning: Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing the school's strategic improvement plan, ensuring alignment with district and state goals.
  • Instructional Leadership: Support and guide best instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and assessment strategies to enhance student achievement.
  • Data Analysis: Review and interpret student performance data to identify trends, develop intervention strategies, and support instructional decisions.
  • School Culture & Climate: Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment by supporting behavior expectations, character education, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between staff, administration, and the broader school community to ensure clear, transparent, and effective communication.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to regular leadership team meetings, providing input on policies, programs, and operational matters.
  • Mentorship & Support: Serve as a mentor to colleagues by offering guidance, sharing resources, and supporting new or developing teachers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current teaching certification in Richards education (or relevant field).
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (preferred).

  • Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply findings to instructional strategies.
