The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Planning Assistant in the Grants Management Department. Incumbent performs administrative and programmatic duties associated with the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and other housing and/or community development grant programs. Incumbent must have thorough analytical and problem-solving skills. Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, real estate, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to four years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Social Science or related field. Post graduate degree with experience in grant administration preferred. Extensive knowledge of real estate processes and the local housing market is preferred. Advanced: Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing. Intermediate: Accounting, Other, Presentation/PowerPoint. Basic: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database. Starting Salary: $30.3560 - $32.1422/HR. w/Benefits.
