The Senior Workforce Planning Analytics & Market Intelligence Specialist is responsible for transforming talent and workforce data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. They provide visibility into talent health, workforce trends, and organizational risks, while incorporating external market intelligence to guide talent strategies.  The role supports the organization's ability to meet current and future business needs by analyzing workforce trends, forecasting talent requirements, and identifying opportunities to strengthen workforce readiness. This role leverages workforce data, business insights, and strategic planning practices to develop recommendations that help ensure the organization has the skills, capabilities, and capacity needed to achieve its objectives.

Here’s what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful: 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and deliver key talent metrics and insights, including bench strength, succession health, retention risk, and internal mobility trends.
  • Analyze workforce data, business trends, and organizational priorities to assess current and future talent supply and demand needs, as well as identifying patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready narratives.
  • Develop workforce forecasts, scenarios, and planning models that support operational and strategic decision-making across multiple functions.
  • Identify workforce risks, capability gaps, and talent-related challenges, and recommend solutions to address priority business needs.
  • Partner with leaders, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and translate business objectives into actionable workforce strategies.
  • Evaluate labor market, industry, and internal workforce trends to provide insights that inform planning efforts and talent investments.
  • Lead or support workforce planning initiatives and projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Interpret workforce policies, planning frameworks, and analytical findings to address unique business situations and emerging workforce challenges.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex workforce issues that may affect multiple teams, functions, or business areas.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations that communicate workforce insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and informal coaching to colleagues while promoting consistent workforce planning practices and methodologies.

Essential Skills:

  • 4+ years’ experience in workforce trends, forecasting talent requirements, and workforce readiness
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong experience with workforce forecasting, scenario planning, data modeling, and reporting methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and independently drive projects with moderate scope and complexity.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance competing business needs.
  • Effective collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders through data-driven insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in workforce analytics tools, reporting platforms, spreadsheets, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

Location: Hillsboro, OR | Marlborough, MA (Hybrid)

Target Compensation: $93k - $111,500 annually + annual bonus
