Job description

Planner & Scheduler
Hartford, Connecticut
Type: Contract
Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Remote - (Must live within a few hours from Hartford to attend meetings but will work remote)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for Transmission Capital, Maintenance, and Distribution projects.
  • Analyze schedule performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure accuracy of scheduling logic, critical path analyses, resource loading, and milestone tracking.
  • Collect, interpret, and report schedule and cost data through routine and adhoc reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Identify schedule risks and support mitigation planning to optimize project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to maintain accurate scope and resource data, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Partner with Controls and Contracts teams for resource planning and cost control measures.
  • Facilitate effective communication between engineering, construction, and project controls teams.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 and MS Project for project scheduling, cost/schedule analysis, and reporting.
  • Support project management methodologies and contribute to continuous process improvements in scheduling and controls.

Requirements
  • Experience in project scheduling or controls, ideally within utilities or construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project software applications.
  • Understanding of resource planning, cost integration, and schedule logic.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Minimum of 0 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
