About the location: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

Cape Canaveral Space Force Station sits at the heart of Florida's Space Coast and is a critical hub for national security, aerospace, and space launch operations. Working primarily on site, this role supports mission-critical programs in a highly technical, secure environment where precision, coordination, and schedule certainty are essential. The surrounding Space Coast area offers a strong engineering and defense presence, coastal living, and proximity to Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, and the broader Central Florida region.

Overview

  • To provide technical support by developing, maintaining, and reporting on project programs using Deltek.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain all project schedules and coordinate schedules with the client.
  • Develop and maintain all manpower loading for projects in Deltek.
  • Prepare OFES and APOs to meet client schedule in coordination with the Design Manager.
  • Maintain project Closeout Tracker on real-time basis.
  • Coordinate all QPs, including setting up folders, assigning to the team, and distribution to the client.
  • Report out project schedule status in staff meetings.
  • Provide prompt and accurate information to the Design Manager to facilitate the project / program trend information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be able to obtain badging on a military installation.
  • Minimum of two years' experience of working as a Project Planner/Scheduler
  • Experience with takt planning is desired.
  • Experience with construction planner/scheduling is required.

Physical Requirements

  • The work is semi-sedentary work and requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
  • Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
