Position: Production Planner Supervisor
Department: PPC Department
Major Areas of Accountability:
  • Develops and trains individuals to ensure facility wide coordination occurs in order to ensure all products, and parts are produced efficiently, safely and with high quality in order to meeting customer delivery.
  • Collaborates with Warehouse and Finance regarding Inventory Levels and Turns; verifying Safety Stock, Bulk Items, and Slow Moving Inventory are properly analyzed monthly.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, employee development, and day to day support to the commercial and production departments.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining summary schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Performs schedule analysis such as critical path identification, schedule risk identification, variance investigation, level-loading, expediting, and outsourcing.
  • Performs capacity monitoring and analysis to identify and resolve capacity constraints using proven industry best-practices such as level-loading, expediting, and outsourcing.
  • Acts as primary information conduit between operations and commercial departments.
  • Works closely and harmoniously with other department's supervisors and employees.
  • Responsible for the accomplishment of short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Ensures department operations are conducted according to the budget guidelines.
  • Complies and analyzed Key Performance and Visual Management Indicators.

Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Operations, Business, or similar; or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated competency strength in initiative, problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Three to Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate; Familiar with MRP software, knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP software preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, guide, and support teams toward shared goals
  • Communicate and interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Self-starting, results oriented, flexible, team player
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in both an office and manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to routinely move throughout the office and manufacturing facility to perform work.
  • Requires the ability to routinely lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to ascend and descend stairs daily to reach all areas of the manufacturing facility.
