BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Materials Planning Manager - MVSL (Material Value Stream Lead) to support its site in Anniston, Alabama. In this role as a Senior Materials Planning Manager - MVSL, you will be responsible for all aspects of Integrated Supply Chain production fulfillment for the assigned value stream.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive safety culture focused on exposure reduction
  • Ensure consistent availability of Quality Material On-Time to support production demands
  • Serve as single interface to Programs on all production issues related to Supply Chain including Planning, Material Handling, and Procurement
  • Oversee Material Planning and work order / demand management
  • Own and maintain Lineside Inventory planning and inventory accuracy
  • Lead lineside Material Planning Coordinators and Material Control Specialists to ensure timely replenishment of Material
  • Drive improvements in service level, accuracy, and cost across the material value stream
  • Provide forward-looking visibility to material challenges and risk to key internal stakeholders, across integrated Supply Chain
  • Partner with Production Value Stream leadership to streamline communication and execution across end-to-end value stream
  • Develop strategic roadmap for future enhancements to Material Planning & Management strategy
  • Oversee a multiple Shift Material Value stream managers/leads who will own the execution resources for each line
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience or the overall equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing / supply chain business. Position will oversee 3 direct reports
  • Understanding of key concepts in material planning / replenishment;
  • Ability to apply continuous improvement strategy by identifying issues and improving material flow strategies
  • Experience with ERP
  • Ability to travel, typically 1 trip monthly of a few days to a week, to support other BAE Systems sites
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency to work with MS Office and industry related software
  • Ability to identify and drive actionable outcomes through influence
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Oracle ERP experience
  • Procurement Process knowledge / experience
  • Bargaining Unit management experience
  • Continuous Improvement training / certification
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $110,160 - $187,272
