2nd Shift Digital Machine Operator

Job Summary:
Responsible for operating and troubleshooting latex printers to reach and maintain maximum production efficiencies. Produces quality printed sheets and accurately interprets, documents, and communicates diagnostic feedback from the machine.
Essential Functions:

Follow safety procedures and practices outlined on the Safety Placard for each piece of equipment
Set up and operate Latex amp; Turbo Jet Printers and sheeter
Perform color matching of printed panels
Use and manipulate computer software related to digital color control, page imposition, production queues, and output
Collect and inspect random samples during print runs and make adjustments as needed
Verify vinyl and ink meet job traveler specifications
Load presses with vinyl and make size-related adjustments
Operate press and pull proofs to check ink coverage/density, alignment, registration
Practice printing safety procedures
Meet strict production deadlines while maintaining quality work
Competencies
Knowledge of vinyls and inks

Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks while maintaining performance in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter; able to work independently and in a team environment
Able to work with limited or no supervision
Work Environment
Heated/cooled production atmosphere
Cement floor; anti-fatigue mats provided

Will be working with chemicals; PPE required at times
Physical Demands
Average or better eyesight and color recognition
Able to stand for entire work period (including overtime if needed)

Expected Hours of Work:
