We partner with select wholesale and specialty brokerage firms, writing on affiliated carrier paper to provide speed to market, meaningful underwriting authority, and strong alignment with our distribution partners. Our model is built to support the wholesale channel with responsive decision-making, specialized expertise, and flexible program solutions.

Our current E&S product offerings include:

  • Cyber Liability

The Position

The Strategic Wholesale Broker Development Lead is responsible for deepening production within an existing network of nationally contracted, top-tier wholesale brokers by expanding branch-level and individual broker engagement, identifying local producers actively placing target business, and increasing consistent submissions and placements.

In parallel, the role will selectively expand the firm’s national footprint by establishing new contractual relationships with additional wholesale brokerage firms where strategic gaps exist and where alignment with underwriting appetite and growth objectives is clear.

This role operates with a high degree of strategic autonomy, including the ability to prioritize target producers and shape go-to-market execution in partnership with underwriting and leadership. Strong performance in this role will help define future distribution strategy and support the addition of broker development resources as the platform scales.

  • The position operates remotely and requires national travel, with producer engagement conducted through a combination of in-person meetings and virtual communication to support market development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Wholesale Broker Development

  • Expand production within existing nationally contracted wholesale brokers and selectively establish new contracts
  • Identify and engage the producers, practice leaders, and teams actively placing target business
  • Position Futuristic Underwriters as a core, go-to market aligned with underwriting appetite and growth objectives

Producer Management & Field Execution

  • Execute consistent, purpose-driven in-person and virtual visits
  • Lead production, underwriting, and profitability discussions with clear, measurable outcomes
  • Build and execute actionable producer development plans with defined parameters
  • Deliver market intelligence and maintain disciplined documentation
  • Represent Futuristic Underwriters at targeted industry events
  • Execute initiatives that drive profitable growth

Success Measures

  • Activation and expansion of existing national producer contracts, evidenced by increased branch codes, producer participation, and consistent submission flow
  • Sustained growth in qualified middle-market submissions and placements from existing nationally contracted wholesale broker offices
  • Selective onboarding of new producers focused on quality of engagement and alignment with underwriting appetite rather than contract count
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in wholesale distribution, producer development, and relationship management
  • Demonstrated success working with large wholesale brokerage firms
  • Strong understanding of Excess & Surplus insurance products/lines of business
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and execute with minimal oversight
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant industry experience or professional designations preferred
