JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE: 
Counter Person is to execute the vision/mission of Uncle Joe’s Pizza in their Uncle Joe’s Pizzeria. Key responsibility areas include acknowledging all customers entering and leaving the restaurant, taking orders from the counter or over the phone, correctly ringing and accounting for all sales transactions in their register, monitoring and coordinating pick up orders, and 100% customer satisfaction. The Counter Person position is usually the first impression a customer will make about Uncle Joe’s Pizza; this should be a pleasant, inviting experience for the customer. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   
  • Create an environment that consistently provides high levels of service to our guests.  
  • Acknowledge all guests entering or leaving the restaurant.  
  • Ring up all orders;   
  • Process all cash, gift card and credit card sales.  
  • Answer phone and take phone orders, offer suggestive selling.   
  • Package salads, sodas, and all condiments for pick‐up orders.  
  • Keep all counter areas and front entrance area neat and clean at all times.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:   
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred..  
  • Excellent customer service skills required.  
  • Excellent job skills and attendance required.  

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:   
  • Restock soda, slices, ice cream or other point‐of‐sale merchandise; use proper stock rotation.  
  • Other tasks and duties based on the needs of the business.
