Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing technical accounting research, adoption of new accounting standards, SOX compliance, and various other financial reporting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with public accounting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
โ€ข Coordinate the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards as relevant.
โ€ข Write position papers on transactions and issues, as needed
โ€ข Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
โ€ข Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
โ€ข Perform periodic tests for impairment (ASC 350 & 360)
โ€ข Perform account reconciliations and review journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
โ€ข Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure timely filing of all financial reports.
โ€ข Review US GAAP adjustments at foreign affiliates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
โ€ข Lead and assist in various technical accounting improvement projects as appropriate.

Requirements
Education/Experience (all required unless noted as "preferred")
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.
โ€ข Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
โ€ข Public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
โ€ข Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and technical accounting.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX compliance.
Experience with Oracle ERP system a plus
