Description

3 Sons Bar-B-Q is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Pitmaster to join our team in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. As an Assistant Pitmaster, you will work under the supervision of the Pitmaster and be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of meats, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our smoked meats. You will also be expected to perform additional prep and cooking duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meats, including trimming, seasoning, and smoking
  • Monitor the temperature and smoke levels in the smoker, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the smoker and surrounding area
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of meats for service
  • Assist in the management of inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times and work collaboratively with the team
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a BBQ pit or smokehouse environment
  • Knowledge of different types of wood and their flavors for smoking meats
  • Experience with cooking and preparing various types of meats
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
